How do I make an appointment with you? All you have to do to make an appointment with me is email me at sydniedphotos@gmail.com. This way we can discuss session details and I can send you my contracts and deposit info. For birth sessions, you MUST read, print, sign, and send these contracts to me along with your deposit within 7 days in order to hold your spot. This can be a check, cash, or money order made out to Sydnie Louque (my maiden name). You will find my address on the bottom of the paperwork. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. If for some reason you need to reschedule, please let me know ASAP. If I do not receive your deposit within 7 days, I will not hold your appointment date, it will be cancelled. |
What happens if I have to reschedule? Life happens, trust me I know! Thankfully I am very understanding of this. If you need to reschedule that is totally okay! This is what the non refundable deposit is meant for. You get to reschedule once, free of charge, if needed. In the event you have to reschedule a second time, there is a $50 rescheduling fee. Please know, I will do my best to squeeze you in on my next available time, but there is no guarantee on how sooner or later it will be as I tend to stay quite busy, especially on weekends. If it is for reasons that are not your fault such as weather or me being unavailable due to last minute circumstances, this is different. |
What happens if the weather is bad and we have to reschedule?
If the weather is bad, as in thunder, rain, or lightening bad, we will reschedule to the next best date that works for both of us! Clients who need to be rescheduled due to weather are top priority. Over-cast does not count as bad weather. Believe it or not, it is AWESOME lighting for photos. I will be sure to touch base the day before our shoot and make sure everything is still good. |
What if I have never done a photoshoot before and don't know how to pose?
Don't you worry about that one bit! I do assist slightly in posing when it comes to babies, children, and husbands who just don't wanna be there (my husband hates photos, I expect most men not to care about it lol!) but once you warm up to the camera, you will be surprised at how natural it comes! I also act a fool, get excited, and say all kinds of things to make you laugh and enjoy your session. The best photos come from you goofing off and not knowing what you are doing! Just relax, have fun, and I will be sure to get you hyped and feeling yourself so you unleash your inner model! |
How long does it take to get my photos?
You will receive your perfected digital photos through ShootProof 1-2 weeks after your shoot! If I message you and say "check your email" that's the code for "your photos are ready, get excited!" If it is wedding or event photos, please allow 6-8 weeks for the photos to be complete and sent and 3 months MAX for you to receive your USB drive. I will send sneak previews here and there just so you have something to get even more anxious for! If you do not want your photos shared on facebook please let me know! |
Do I see the unedited photos and pick which ones I want?
No. Sydnie selects the best photos from the shoot, perfects them, and sends a certain amount (usually 30-50) to you! If you would like additional edits, there is a $50 editing fee per 5 extra photos.

What happens if I am late?
10-15 minutes late is not a big deal to me! After 15 minutes we may have to reschedule. On busy days I have back to back shoots, so if you are late you will either loose shoot time or have to reschedule due to time constraints. Remember, there is a $50 late/rescheduling fee.

What should we wear?
I want you to wear whatever you feel comfortable and confident in! Try to avoid distracting logos, graphic tees, or large crazy patterns. Colors look best! If it is for family photos, you don't have to match exactly, but try to do complimentary colors or colors and designs that are in the same color category like all cool tones, all warm tones, guys in plaid, girls in solid and vice versa. Mix it up and be creative! I always tell clients to get their inspiration from Pinterest, you will find all kinds of ideas! Dress to fit your style. Think about what you want to see in photo frames on your walls. Do you want to look dressed up? Casual? Cozy? Fun?

Where do we shoot?
Locations vary. If you want to shoot anywhere such as your home, the park nearest to you, downtown areas, etc... I am down for anything! I love finding new spots to explore and shoot at! Keep in mind traveling fees are separate and vary depending on how far the location is from my home. Can I order prints through you?
Of course! I do offer print packages but do not require you to order prints through me. Everyone receives a print release so you are free to print your photos wherever and whenever you want. In my professional opinion, I advise to avoid places such as Walgreens, Walmart, etc... to print your images. They do not give the best quality prints and you will notice the colors and clarity may look very off. Ordering from me will ensure the prints are exactly how they are supposed to look and done to a high standard. I try to keep my print packages very reasonable too. Prints from me must be paid for in advanced. |
What if I only need a few photos and don't want an entire hour long session?
I do offer mini sessions at a discounted rate that are usually 15 minutes long and you receive 8 edits. BUT beginning January 1, 2019, you can only book a mini session if you have booked a full session with me before. So, new clients must do a full session before they can book future mini sessions UNLESS it is themed mini sessions for kids such as Bluebonnet minis or Christmas minis.
I do offer mini sessions at a discounted rate that are usually 15 minutes long and you receive 8 edits. BUT beginning January 1, 2019, you can only book a mini session if you have booked a full session with me before. So, new clients must do a full session before they can book future mini sessions UNLESS it is themed mini sessions for kids such as Bluebonnet minis or Christmas minis.
Do you offer boudoir photos?
I do! These cost $350. This goes towards the hotel room, hair and makeup included, the session fee, and your choice of a 10 x 10 photo album OR $30 print credit is included. I am open to almost all session styles, don't be afraid to ask for a specific session you are wanting to do! |
